Hi Folks,
Hope it's allright to post this here : Used to be more active on the forums here, but havn't been around for a while.
I couldn't find any post/info on the "Gathering Cruise" in Ireland... it's along the lines of the Scottish Malts Cruise, but heading round the south coast of Cork & Kerry - some of the best cruising grounds around. Check out the website on http://www.thegatheringcruise.ie/Itinerary.aspx
It's a non-commercial/non-profit event being run the Irish Sailing Association (the equivalent of the RYA in Ireland), and being supported by the Cruising Association of Ireland and the Irish Cruising Club. Costs are reasonable, and include a free copy of one of the ICC Cruising Guides. If you're a foodie - there is a big bash in Kinsale (gourmet capital of Ireland on 24th), where the local restaurants are putting on a joint food event as the highlight of the cruise.
Aidan.
