Eerr.well. Years ago I sent Tutts on the radio course. But she was crap with it and kept putting the mic to her ear!! Anyway miraculasly she passed, which was ok till we met a sysmic survey vessel towing six miles of cable down the Irish sea. Anyway, she went potty and blubbered out all sorts of rubbish.

So I took over, and very profesionally requested the Sysmic survey vessel to just turn round and go the other way and stop being a bloody nuisance!!

The upshot of all this is. Tutts is no longer with us and I now need a new radio licence. The bloke said I needed to study something like, the funny Alfabet. Now I have no trouble spelling Mucky Farter funnilly. But what are all the other letters??

Mike echo echo kelo alpha tango hotel alpha romio romio alpha.

I also told him that we had only just fitted the radar thingy and had not got ued to it yet!!

Anyway he3 was a bit of a numbty cos we had already passed his bows by about three miles and were going away from him, but anyway I digress!

There are no typing, spelling, or grammatical errors in my posts. What you are seeing is the evolution of the English language in action

You mean we are evolving to morse code? /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Not in the syllabus the RYA teach? I've dug out my copy of Reed's VHF DSC Handbook, by Sue Fletcher. It's an RYA approved textbook for the VHF DSC course, and has F listed as 'Foxtrot', and Sue is an RYA instructor
