Seen just the one today, on the Isle of Mull.
Poor chap will be wondering why he bothered next week- the forecast for Wednesday night is 4 degrees, with snow possible.

One of the delights of the Baltic is the large flocks of swallows, also martins and swifts. Presumably due to a more rational use of insecticides in the past.

Yes, they're back in our stables, two nests high up inside the roof, must be the ones from last year otherwise they'd never find the nests!
