Ah, that explains it. Couldn't understand why Brigantia was for sale at Tollesbury at about the same time that you were writing about having sold her. The new owner didn't waste any time in putting her up for sale and I see from the web site that she is now listed as "sale pending." Still, whatever he made on her you can comfort yourself that you are saving money now that you don't own her any longer. Good luck with Erbas!
 
I hadn't even realised she'd gone up for sale again so soon until I was contacted by the prospective buyer!

no skin off my nose, whilst I would have liked to have got a better price than I did I got a quick, sold as seen and cash on the nail sale of, whilst I hate to say it about a boat that gave us so much fun, a potentially major liability

The only bit that makes I curious is that there ain't much profit for the fella in the middle but that's his problem!

I think it was just an exceptional event. one of the marina staff has a Heard 28, half as heavy again and then some as us, lying to identical gear just a few boats away from our buoy and that didn't move an inch

Erbas must be a mighty vessel indeed as she took half a ton of well buried sinker for an excursion onto the mud!

I might though feel happier lying to one of the trot moorings rather than an individual sinker next season but on the other hand I do like being on the nearest buoy to the pontoon (our tender is **** and I'm **** at rowing it! the closer the better!)
