The end of the season ?

The highlight for me was not so much a trip, more just a "moment".

It was the blast down Southampton Water with the guys from SB&R.

My sons highlight was the "38knots" trip.

hi james .....its great that lots of forumites can keep out on the wet stuff all through the year, but for me the drop in temp around the end of september means, swollen joints and lots of aggrovateing aches n pains that make a day out on Thanks Mum more a "trial by ordeal"!!!........so if you dont have an "end of season" ENJOY and i,ll think of you all while im sitting on top of a radiator with teeth chattering !!!!............................oh, and just for the record im hoping for a weekend at mercury on oct 1st n 2nd and then that will deffinately be that !!!

Hi Steve, I might be old before my time with my wheelhouse equipped boat, but there nothing to beat a trip across to Cowes in December with the cabin heating blasting.. We have also booked in the weekend of 1st & 2nd to be on the boat & we are planning to go to Portsmouth or Chichester to meet some friends.... but will no doubt see you around!

my highlight was during our summer cruise from ipswich to oostende at the beginning of August(then up into ijsselmeer via ijmuiden) The first stop was oostende where the mini heatwave kicked in.
We met a group of 4, 40-50' sportscruisers and we all 5 left Oostende in hot sunny calm weather and blatted down to Gravelines at 28-30 kknots on a glassy north sea.
we all ran more or less parallel and the sight of all these open Sportscruisers (fairlines, sunseekers & my princess V42) was something to behold.
a fantastic memory!
