After looking at boats in Brundall, York, on the Thames and Chicester I finally found the ideal boat in Poole, a Sealine F33.

Boat survey - £514
Engine survey - £353
BSS survey - £340 (boat will be moored on the Thames)
Legal advice re the brokers contract - £240
Lift into the water, night's mooring and then lift out, for the sea trial - £250

Upshot of the above is the hull is extremely wet, engines have not been serviced properly/reguarily and the broker was unable to produce a letter from finance company confiming that they would release thier hold on the boat after the broker had paid off the finance.

Made the very hard decision to walk away at the weekend and then promptly found another F33 about 15 miles from home. Ticks all the boxes, although its yet more money. Only going to get the boat survey done this time!
