I have version 2 of The Complete Course installed on my XP SP2 main computer. Having now purchased a vista notebook to use on the boat I tried to install it on that without success.
Because I have been having problems with other programs, I turned off the User Application Control (UAC), which allows them to run without any trouble.
I just had another try to install the Complete Course and it installed and runs perfectly, I also right clicked it's icon and chose Windows 98 compatability in the properties.
This is not a recommendation, as disabling UAC will reduce the security of vista, but for now mine stays off as the popups it causes drive me mad.
Once the program is installed, it seems to run OK with UAC turned back on.
