I see the new series starts tonite 20.30 beeb 2. Didn't see any of the previous progs but by coincidence was in Waterstones last w/e looking at the BBC book of the same name. Lovely photo on the cover, looked somehow familiar but couldn't initially place it so checked to see where it was. Dartmouth in Cornwall was how it was described. Funny thought I, certainly doesn't look at all like the Dartmouth I know, and when was it moved from Devon. Finally decided it was the Helford River which is in Cornwall.

Apparently BBC publishing has been taken over by another publisher, not surprising if this is the best they can do! And flicking through the book it really didn't look very interesting.

The original series is being re-run continuously on BBC3 or 4, well worth watching.
BBC3 and 4 are available on digital terrestrial, the decoders are very cheap, I assume it's also on some of the satelite channels

According to the Beeb website, Coast is on at 20.00. BUT the idiots have put snooker on before it, no doubt that will overrun and Coast will be cancelled. Here's hoping they actually show it. Why cant they schedule another sports prog to follow snooker? In that way they will only upset people interested in sport if the snooker overruns, instead of those of us who want to watch Coast.

Just watched it. I'd rather still have Nicholas Crane than the other idiot. Looking forward to next week's after the first series jumped from the Great Orme to Liverpool.

I reckon the semaphore messages (allowing incoming ships to sell cargoes before docking in the Mersey) from Holyhead to Liverpool will beat a text message by a long way!

Would be nicer if the programme had a bit more content though... still the scenery is nice and it is suitably dummed down so that nobody could accuse it of being scientific (oh what a crime that would be).
