I picked up the calendars from the Eastern Fleet HQ of the Kioni Line last night.
I want to thank Neil & Molly for their terrrific effort in putting together the East Coast Sunset Calendar - it is absolutely knockout.

Lynn has taken hers to work, as have I. The comments this morning from my team and other colleagues have been very complimentary, and more than half asked where they could buy one!

Some real Oohs and Aahs at some of the phots, a particular honourable mention must go to baastonjock for the birds in flight photo, which was mentioned most so far!

I think that there may well be a case for a reprint!

Well done to all those who submitted, we may have a case for making this an annual event.

Couldn't agree more. I attended the same HQ yesterday evening and collected my first copy. Apart from the quality of the materials, what's so impressive are the photos themselves, considering the fact that these are all amateur photos.

Hats off to the Kionis and the East Coast photographers. Definitley should be an annual event.

Hi All

Thanks Jim and Alastair you're very kind - it was a pleasure to have you aboard sharing the Cava and tolerating my droning monologue about the disposition of the Fleet

As you know I really enjoyed doing them but was a bit anxious about how they'd be received so thanks for the kind feedback.

Lil and others, I have your PMs but haven't managed to reply to everyone yet. I've got the calendars in envelopes readyto go but haven't been near a post office yet. I'll put a note in each one I post with final cost and payment details.

Jim also has the calendars for CPD, Moodysabre, Cervinia, and AliM - Roger will get the ones for the Bradwell mafia from Jim and distribute them locally.

I'll start another thread soon for the next reprint

cheers

Neil

I shall reciprocate immediately.

There now. Done that. Bit giddy but that's age and the tablets. What do I do next? I'll take three if possible with pleasure. It will be kinda fun to take two out to that other island beginning with M.

OK enough reciprocating

I'll start anther thread to gather inputs for a reprint - I have you down for 3 and Jim for 3 but I think I may have missed some other folks out.

Please don't reorder too quickly- judging by the comments I can't wait to see mine and it may well be that family will want to jump on the bandwagon too, after they've seen it

OK, Gin, noted, also Slowboat is on the the list

I've finally posted all the calendars off except for Morgana (Neil where are you? Can anyone PM mr his address he seems to have gone AWOL) but due the PO situation they won't get to you until next week.

I "sold" one to the lady in the post office who loved it and one chandler may also want some. Now, does anyone object to the idea of me trying to sell a few through alternative marine outlets around the East Coast? The post office lady said try the tea rooms near the water and I was thinking the local chandleries - OR do you want to keep it exclusive? The photo copyright is with you lot so you'd have to agree to let it be distributed like that.

Just a thought - got a very positive reaction and it would get the quantities up and raise more RNLI money

I think it must be up to the contributors of the images to decide but ,FWIW, if I had contributed I wouldn't have a problem as the proceeds are going to such a good cause

If we can sell thousands so much the better. RNLI to benefit suits me.

Go go go.

We can always shift them - the first trial run has proven what a great thing it is:D

Feel chuffed Neil - we are behind you.

This could grow like Topsy- poor old Neil, he may find this thing is a monster for now we must all rake out our cameras and provide an even better collation for 2011??

Thinks???- Is this the sailing equivalent of the WI ladies calendar

For that to work we would need pic's of people naked at the helm and I only know one person that brave on here
