An organisation called Clean Ocean Sailing are organising World Cleanup Day... On September 15th boat owners and yacht crew from all over the world are being asked to join force and collect some rubbish from the sea. They want this to be the biggest flotilla ever and hope to both raise awareness and reduce the amount of plastic in our seas...
We have offered to help in any way we can and our delivery crews will be getting involved on the day. If anyone else would like to help then please read their short blurb and follow the links:
"Wherever you are sailing the seas, anchored in a Caribbean paradise, moored up in the rain, on a pontoon or enjoying a couple of hours out in the bay, please take to your tenders and scoop with a net or row ashore to fill a bag with man-made marine litter. Let’s all do our bit for our precious playground the sea. Pick up any litter you find, weigh and photograph it with you and your boat in the background, and share it with us at Clean Ocean Sailing FB or Instagram or Twiter.
Fair winds and safe sailing to you all!"
