The Big one.....

Just got back from a great trip on the boat fishing and cruising about,hooked into the biggest bass i,ve seen in a long time it shot off like a Leopard after a springbox....then shook it,s head and <font color=blue>GOT OFF!!!!!!<font color=black>...damm.
I also cut my finger cleaning barnicle,s off me out drive,and bled like a scewered pig, do barnicle,s carry any thing catching as said digit is extremly sore!!

You've probably got a bit of anti-foul in the cut, so it will be V sore. Not as sore as you must be about the one that got away though. It's always worse when you got them nearly to the net then lose them. Better not to have seen it.

Does a skewered pig actually bleed that much?
I think skewered pigs scream, but not bleed. (well obviously a bit).

Of course I am probably wrong but if not:
Does this mean that you did not bleed that much, or is it that you did bleed a lot, and a more appropriate metaphor is required.
