The big get away

Hha ha....brilliant,,,we name everything and fall about laughing about it all the time,,,
George the electric auto pilot, and Harry the Hydrovane

We name everything too.
Electric autopilot: Snorky (kids came up with that one - because when it's working it sounds like someone snoring).
Windvane: Carly (as in Carly Simon - You're so vain...)

Oh dear, that's a worry. We've a "Derek the dinghy" too, I thought we were the only nutters that did that sort of thing. We also have a "Katie the Kayak" though so maybe we're further en-route to the asylum than you!

Not by any means. We have Terrance the tender, dave2 the auto pilot. We had a Dave but he died sadly. Swambo understands these new nautical terms. Oh and not to forget Garry the chart plotter, made by Garmin naturally!!

Our first autopilot was called Jim, but when he went the way of all autopilots, he was replaced with a posher version - a James, definitely rather than a Jim. Then the new boat had a German one (well, the boat was German) so since the Grman equivalent of James is, according to Wikipedia, Jakob, he is the very efficient present one.
