can anyone suggest the best online chandlery

I have been trying to blag a set of RR for the Minstrel from Plastimo in return for making a film about fitting it

I got a reply a few weeks ago that they were prepared to let me have a set FOC

since then it has all gone rather quiet - for perfectly understandable reasons

so time to flash the plastic

probably not marinemegastore though chaps

roller reefing

Crusader sails said they would not be happy with me if I put their sails on a Plastimo Roller Reefing.......

They sold me a nice Furlex system and I really like it.

I had a bit of trouble getting delivery of a hatch cover from Seateach, it took a few phone calls to get it and they were not that friendly. Though it was diffrent when I brought the hatch and dealt with a really young guy.

anyone second seateach?

D

I use Seateach fairly regularly because they are only a few minutes drive away from the boat yard.
I have always had good service

BUT

there have been complaints on here in the past about them... possibly more specifically about one of the business owners.

Worth a shot but if you get hold of the wrong person you maybe not have a lot of luck

I've ordered an awful lot of stuff from Force 4 and have nothing to complain about. Stuff arrives quickly and any little problems or mistakes are rectified efficiently.

Good service from Seateach- they did screw-up an order once (gebo hatch) and I had to drive down to collect it, about 160 mile round trip. They let me have it at 25% discount and 25% off anything else I wanted, so I got a good handheld and a load of other bits. Had good service from them otherwise. Marinestore has been good, as has Force4.

Bosun bob is good.
I ordered the wrong repair kit for my toilet and he sent me another no problem and no extra for the duplicate p+p.

I'm moored Emsworth way, Wheres Seatech?

A259 towards Emsworth from the top of Thorney Road , don't take the left fork into the town but carry on to the roundabout.

Turn right,( North Street) ie away from the town centre. Turn left into the railway station forecourt. Keep going. Seateach in a modern "unit" on the right. Right where it says Station Approach in Google maps

Go into a real chandlery. The one you will expect to be there when you need a 2x8 countersunk A4 screw and a 45 mm jubilee clip.

Dylan

I use

Marine Superstore
Seamark Nunn
Marinestore

All have provided good service in the past

Ian

I've used all of the above too.

Seamark Nunn - so far have an excellent track record with me.

Marine Superstore - no issues as of yet

Marinestore - I've found to be pretty good. Shop prices are sometimes dearer than online which can be a bit annoying that to guarantee the best price, I have to buy online and select to collect from the store, rather than just turn up when i'm on route to the boat.
7/10 for these guys.
