Thanks to all for the response to mt ealirt thread.
After many days I have managed to obtain A copy of the drawing of a Princess 385 - (many thanks to the man in the spare department of Princess.
The answer is 14 feet 6 inches from the lowest point on the keel to the the windscreen top on the flybridge.
So it fits OK on a 1ft of the ground low loader. The props will also have to be removed.

It being almost impossible to arrange a good skipper with the weather etc - it is now coming by road. I can then have time to get used to the boat and have tuition etc. I tried very hard to arrange to sail her around but it was impossible to coordinate all the unknowns.

Re: aw

Not that that tough a trip. You don't have to co-ordinate unknowns, cept in complex mathematics. Cd've beetled in and out of a few harbours, then swansea. Good luck anyway.

Re: I know not about HGVs but..

Cor blimey is there really such a thing as 1 foot off the ground low loader! Allowing for a bit of thickness in the loader itself it must be very near the tarmac ouch
