I was amongst the spectators for the beginning of the Challenge. What a pleasure to see such a variety of small boats, also to hear the opinions and attitudes of the entrants. Thanks to all those who spared the time to talk, in spite of continuing preparations and family commitments. There was a great atmosphere on the pontoon when it came to leaving time, and I wish fair winds to all the skippers. May their craft see them safely to their next ports.
