I just popped down to the boat this afternoon to collect a couple of items. Since I scrubbed the bottom in May we have only be able to sail twice.:(

Looking at the greenery under the forefoot, it is going to need a scrub again before the summer is out. In fact, as we wont be able to sail now until August, I reckon the next sail might be around to Bosham for another scrub. Oh the joys of boat ownership.:(

Have you considered a dry sailing berthing arrangement?

Normally cheaper than a marina berth, and some places include the first few lifts. You'd probably have to sail a lot before it wasn't cheaper overall, and you don't need to antifoul at all.

last March we had the Gosport Sealift antifoul our boat. She was not used much last year-the weather was carp and we lost both our Mums-two funerals in five weeks. We put her to bed in December in the water at Port Solent where an ajacent bertholder kept a close eye on her. We went to visit our son in Wellington where he had emigrated with his Kiwi partner and our Grandson-we got back mid May. She looked like she needed a good scrub-like yours a heavy fringe all around the hull. Back to the sealift where, much to our surprise, she only had a fringe around the waterline, just a little slime on the rest of the hull. Last March two coats of Jotun "Seaqueen" were applied. We shall use it again..............................

Sealift deals and service look good.

Worth a chat to them rather than looking forward to a tough scrubbing session.

Cheers
