That was some day sail !!!

Antbody else see the story about the guy in LA who went out for a day sail and ended up 4 MONTHS at sea. Apparently he left for a 4 hour sail across a bay , the wind seriously got up and he got blown out to sea. His mast broke and he survived by catching rain water and eating seagulls and fish. He said he cooked the gulls by breaking off bits of his boat . For 4 months ? The things I found a bit fishy ( sorry about that ) was the fact that he couldn't speak English , nobody reported him missing for 4 months , and that he drifted down to coast for 4 months eventually being picked up off Costa Rica.

It was an overnight passage, he lives on his boat and is in the habit of just sailing away,he does speak some english and apparently he lost sixty pounds in weight, he also ate turte as well,he was picked up by a US navy boat doing drug interdiction, his boat was sunk by gunfire and the crew raised $800 dollars to help him out..........when you have the will to live....?
