Back in East Cowes with a beer in hand to calm the adrenalin... went from Cowes to Calshot this morning to pick up the girls which was 'orrible, took the route east and then up the North Channel to try and keep wind and tide behind us most of the way but it was an uncomfortable ride, just couldn't get the boat to surf the waves as the bow came up when I used throttle to keep up with them... ended up very rock and roll... some more reading, learning and practice to do there I reckon!

Back out to Cowes at 12:30 with wind and tide on the nose in 2m seas... just bloody good fun, a bit hairy timing the turn once we'd reached the island to approach the Medina from the west but really enjoyed the ride, quite a thrill and surprisingly, all 3 girls enjoyed it too. Lots of throttle control up and down the waves and got her on the plane most of the way.

Down the Folly tonight for some well earned grub, a few beers and looking forward to tomorrow when the sun's coming out to play apparently:cool:

We're in East Cowes berth Q29 if anyone's about

Might see you if it all calms down a bit.

Going to look at launching from Calshot in the morning. The forecast we have seen suggests F3/F4 with seas slight. F3/F4 is normally marginal in our Bowrider but if the sea really is slight then we will be out.

You were out, I know, I was there when the trailer was empty:D

great weekend

turned out to be a cracking weekend with a mix of all the right ingredients..

Ferry Service from Calshot spit to the boat to start the weekend.. Deb fell on her butt on the slipway which sort of set the scene for how the crossing over to Cowes turn nicely turned out ladies in to, nice ladies but not so pristine ones:D

a little wet but glad to have survived the crossing... they loved it as it goes and saw it as part of making the weekend more memorable

Got the sisters on the boat next weekend for more of the same:)

I wouldnt bank on good weather next weekend nor for the few days after. We are supposed to be heading from Boston to Southwold then onto the Broads for a couple of weeks. Everytime we plan a cruise out from Boston we end up stuck there for at least three days waiting for decent weather and sea state. So im afraid in all likelihood it will be more of the same :(

it was good fun Steve and well worth the effort getting across the day before.... a little video of some of the happenings on the Saturday Evening here.. My Deb and her friend Deb doing a bit of crowd surfing in the Folly... well... more like falling off a table and getting the bumps in reality:D:

and the obligatory wake shot on route from Cowes to Colwell Bay the following day.. such a contrast to the day before

p.s. 'The Sisters' have cancelled this weekend due to unforeseen circumstances:confused:, or maybe they just saw the state of the girls from the Saturday morning trip... rain check job (literally), so will be out at some point in the summer.

like i said gary ....MUCH, MUCH , AND MUCH TO MUCH FUN going on ........glad your "harem" enjoyed themselves.................(if you ask em nicely, would they be good enough to explain to my swmbo that boats CAN be fun)...great pics by the way!!!!
