90% of the success of this stuff (whether you like it or not is a seperate issue) is in the fitting....
We had a friend who had two lots done on his boat at different times.... one lot looked good, beautifully fitted, and one lot looked rubbish (fitted by someone else).... so make sure you allow for someone who knows how to install it properly in your budget.....
From what I've seen, it's all pretty nasty stuff - OK on a mobo maybe, but not on a sailboat. If you must have it, take MagnaCarter's advice re getting a really skilled installer.
Nasty? Well, I suppose it is a product pretending to be something it isn't. But then again, so is real teak when it's laid on the deck of a grp boat - and loads more trouble too.
Then we have paint - non slip but uncomfortable to sit on - and Treadmaster and its derivatives. Again non slip but industrial looking.
We're not exactly overwhelmed with options are we?
