To test the engine and the plumbing today I was mondful of that thread about using engine as a bilge pump. It occured to me that with 6 inches of rain water in the otherwise immuculate fesh painted bilges it was an opportunity both to run the engine up for a while without a hosepipe and a bucket to feed, and to empty the bilges.
Not the fastest way of doing it, indeed, I could probably have bailed faster with an egg cup, but it enabled the first long test of the engine.
But yes, it works.
