Havent heard from Banus for a while. Would like to thank him for mentioning us to a friend who we are teaching this week on his own boat. Squaddie 50, with Twin Detroit 660 Two strokes. Unless I stand corrected pretty rare for a Squaddie? Cue Petem Fairline boffin :~)

The Squaddie in question had some bad vibs on stb side yesterday and would only make 16-17 knots. Brought her into Duquesa yesterday, had her lifted 10am today, as suspected, blue netting wrapped round stb and indeed some around port prop. Add to this a very dirty bottom and barnacled props/shaft etc. hence the reduced speed. Presrure washed props and stern gear cleaned.

Relaunched at midday, got a call from Phil en route to Gib, for return night passage and reading 25 knots. so from 16 to 25 in one morning.
And the 25 knots was with bow up no tabs on account of only one was not working, so with tabs put right should get 27.
