To all the members who provided useful info for our tidal trip to St Kats...

We took all the advice and arrived without a hitch!

Now enjoying the sun, photos to follow as always /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

A pleasure to meet such a legend as yourself!

Some figures for interested parties:

50 miles total, which took 10 gallons of Diesel and 11 hours including the final 3 hours and 10 minutes against the tide nearly all the way!

The tidal bash was at 5mph land speed according to GPS which was 7.5mph over water according to boats nav. The tide took 2 to 3 mph off us but more often only 2mph.

The little Perkins ran at 2200rpm without fuss although we tried WOT for a while to test it and it was flat out at 2600rpm and 8.5 mph

Those figures might assist anybody in a similar craft...

An no pictures of ybw.com HQ....

On the way back grab one, we are behind the Tate Modern or opposite St Pauls if thats any easier! Big blue glass building with blue fins on it.

Now safely back at Hamster Court Palace for a free night!

Sorted a few little oil and water leaks along the way, surprising how loose bolts get really, prob the vibes!

Little boat performed perfectly and all plans worked too, Mrs N-R had a great birthday and we met several BCC members which was nice. Apparently we were lucky at St Kats as I called ch 80 and we were locking within 8 minutes
