Thank you Pyrojames and Flipper for rescuing me from what might otherwise have been a very depressing weekend.

After arriving my boat and finding the saloon to be full of puddles due to no windows and heavy rain I was resigning myself to a quiet evening in listening to the drip drip drip of internal precipitation.

When lo, a knight in shining armour came to whisk this damsel away from her damp gloom to the bright lights of the new clubhouse and the Classic Boats Regatta barbeque. There I enjoyed decent food and the pleasant company of PJ's multicultural crew.

Better still, I was invited to join them for Sunday's racing!

Thanks guys, it was just what I needed.

Yes a very nice day.

Only on the boat for today due to other duties.

Fitted a new forehatch.

Went down to Felixstowe Ferry and then popped the spi out for an airing and ran all the way through the Ramsholt moorings up to the rocks.
Well max speed 3.5knt so it was more a walk than a run.
Wanted to show a crew member what a spi looked like.

A pleasure to have you aboard for the day, even if we did have to anchor to stop ourselves going backwards. I am now looking forwards to spending more time abaoard afloat, rather than in a shed. Waterborne entertaining is on the cards.

Yes and here's the proof...James trying to look not too peeved about you hogging the helm on his newly launched pride and joy /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
