On 14th Dec I ordered a bunch of stuff for my NTM including a Fusion Stereo set up (over £400 all together... and they still charged postage? Sheesh! )

Anyhoo...It all arrived via courier on 18th but on opening it all up I found that the front of the stereo unit was damaged. Not seriously, but scratched up enough that I was not happy to accept it.

One 'no quibble' phone call to Jimmy Green later and the unit was on its way back to them and a replacement was on its way to me. It just arrived. In perfect condition.

So well done folks... good service.
Now if you could just consider offering free delivery on large orders... ;)

No connection etc...

About nine years ago I had a problem-a year after the item was purchased-and as I am a nosey bugger and wanted to find out the cause of the failure instead of chucking it away and buying another I took it in bits and found an incorect sized bolt head fitted, allowing the two halves of the unit to separate and one piece to become lost overboard. I reported this to JG who asked me to send the bits back. They checked stock and found others in the same condition. They thanked me for pointing the fault out and quickly gave a full refund. Top marks to a good company.

Yes, that's what I expected to be honest but no...

Even my homebrew supplier sends any order over £60 free... and my orders there generally cost a heck of a lot less than £400 and weigh a heck of a lot more than this package did.

Oh well... at least the damaged goods prob was dealt with very well at the end of the day.

I don't think there is anything as free postage, it's just absorbed into the profit margin. I suppose you could ask JG to offer a £10 discount on an order over £400. In my experience they're one of the cheapest suppliers (and also one of the most helpful).

Please don't think I was knocking JG... I wasn't, quite the opposite in fact. They sorted out a problem very promptly and professionally and I was praising them for that.

But I will say I found the addition of £7 odd for p&p a bit irksome on a £400 order! (purely IMHO) ;)

Me so far... although there was a commitment over the phone to reimburse it. I was a bit disappointed not to find anything to that effect in the parcel though. I'm sure it will be sorted when I e-mail them a 'reminder'. ;)
