I was short tacking my way up the Beaulieu River on Saturday and a couple of guys in powerboats were immediately behind me. Both stopped and let me get on with my tacking and overtook when we were the opposite side of the river. I thought that it was worth a post to counter the usual all powerboaters are ******s call that us raggies make.

Nice to hear, Chris, and thanks for posting it.

I was coming up Southampton Water on Sunday morning, and gave way to a sailing yacht. He waved "thank you". So simple, so nice.

I am sure we are all basically "nice" people. We just happen to enjoy different aspects of the same hobby.
