a glass of good , cold OZ beer

Beer cannot be good and cold. There's a drink called lager which is drunk frozen by youfs who don't tuck in their shirt tails, but no one could confuse that gnat's urine with beer.

Re: Oxymoronic

Now there you have a point Ken

If there is one thing that England (and I say this as a Scot) does well it is beer, particularly real ales. If our friends down under think that thier exported liquid (im sure that gnats piss would have more flavour) holds even a candle to a good real ale then they have serious delusions of granduer.

What next?

Will one of our friends from across the Atlantic suggest that the "brewers" of Budweiser are producing a good beer and not just having a laugh?

Cheers

And we still hear from you the next morning Sailbad!

Used to apply to Watney's, but infinitely transferrable:

None - they're both f***ing near water.........."

Re: mother in laws ...

it may be early days to be acquainted with this species? some advice will be needed and probably, continuously which we may not be able to give if your visits here are infrequent but here are some warnings to keep you sane ...

firstly, breathing alcohol fumes into its face is not recommended and sucking polos whenever its near will be rumbled. I use the 3rd person, its, deliberately as sex is indeterminate and wears knickers that would suit a code X sail.

secondly, there is a better than even chance that it, even now, has access to the internet (subtle warning from wife, note) and is recording your words to fling back at you when at inappropriate (to you, that is) moment.

thirdly feign interest in gardening and build garden shed. or, better still, join allotment association but ensure close to local pub, off-licence, sailing club etc

the good news is that you acquire a sixth sense whenever its in the vicinity. can't explain why but you do ... sort of 3 minute warning ...

Max, good luck and best wishes to you all. Shall we organise a Sailbad's wet the baby's head cruise?

Take care

Re: Oxymoronic

The only difference between Aus and American beer is that the Americans admit it. (That it isn't beer that is).

Sailbad, good luck with baby. Sailing is a great life to bring a "littleun" into. Earlier the better, they'll love you for it.

Re: Oxymoronic

Budweiser is a fine beer, but it should be followed by the word Budvar -
The American stuff is to beer what the Sun is to a newspaper
"lowest common denominator" and tasteless

You really don't know what's about to hit you! It's actually a conspiracy that you're about to join in with. The first three months are awful.

You can log on here when you're taking your turn with a bottle at 5am. Nothing else to do. Cover the keyboard, projectile vomit isn't good for it.

<hr width=100% size=1>my opinion is complete rubbish, probably.

Re: special sb2 cruise

oho. I am available - with a brand new menu! Just the same as last time, but i could mash it up a bit (more) and perhaps a touch more of the "floor" flavouring as well, hm? Perhaps there should be a small charge this time, seeing as there the valuable outcome for all participants being utterly immune to cholera, although the downside is the cholesterol poisoining...
