With so many forumites attending this year's TVR, there must be lots of (incriminating) pictures floating around on peoples phones and cameras. I thought it would be a good idea to get them all together on one post, to make htem easy to view.

I'll start with these, hopefully some from the boat handling competition when I've checked Ms Dogsbody's camera.

First up, Unwinder, just to remind you all who I am.

No Regrets, all lit up.

Unfortunately for John, he was beaten in the lighting competition by this (laser equipped boat).

And finally, the silverware won by Bray Cruiser Club

My thanks again to all the organisers (and sponsors) of the TVR and to all the attendees for making it such an enjoyable weekend (espically to the BCC boat handling team for winning so many trophies).

No come on you lot, lets have some pictures!

Great idea /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Only got a couple but can't remember how to get them on here - managed to get them on to photobucket but no further.

Help please

If you know the web address of the page on Photobucket you just put it between
[ image] and [ /image ] removing the spaces after the brackets.

i.e. [ image]http://www.dogsbody.net/images/TVR2009/UnwinderTVR2009.jpg[ /image] with the spaces removed would show the image of Unwinder at the top of this thread.

Not sure how photobucket works as I don't use it, so can't be more specific but someone on here will.

Alternatively, you can email them to me (PM for address) and I'll post them for you.

Regards,

Darren.

PS Did I hear someone say you were on Topps for the competition? If so well done on second place!

Thanks
Hope this works!!!!

This was us just approaching test one (I'm on the bow for those who don't know me)

This is the silverware taken home by ODCC. Not quite as good as Bray but, I believe, that it is a record for the club.

Darren, thanks and I didn't realise that you were on the winning boat - congrats /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yep, it works (bit small though).

Think I saw you doing test 3 but didn't realise it was you, must get Ian to introduce us sometime.

As you say a respectable amount of silverware there and ODCC are definitely improving, watching Carmic showed that. Your turn for the top trophy next year?

Hadn't mentioned that I was on the winning boat, if I make too much of a habit of it they will expect me to enter my own boat one of these days...but thanks, we all enjoyed ourselves and those other competitors I saw looked to be doing likewise, which is what it is all about.

Darren.

Looks like the M25 on a quiet day, still at least your shove up raft up thing works!

PS I'm just about visible sitting on Unwinder in the second of BoatOne's pictures!

Acdtually, I thought it WAS a joke ! There were little yellow buoys ether side of it and a notice on the lock gates warning you to keep in the middle of the channel. There were also occasional notices saying 'No Mooring'........ /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I must say it was nice to see the OOH power installed at Cookham - we even used it on Monday lunchtime! That leaves Marlow as the bottleneck now.
Noticed they've also done some bankside work just below the cut off to the right of the waiting pier.

The wedding......

[ QUOTE ]
More importantly how was the wedding there! looked a little pricey.....

[/ QUOTE ]

All we saw of them was the wedding party processing up to Hambleden and back on one of Hobbs big trip boats. All looked evry posh.

I believe the TVR were were prevented from having any meaningful music on the Saturday night because only one event was allowed to make the noise !

Made up for it on Sunday night though as Billy and the Bonquers plowed thru their entire late 50's/early 60's rock and roll repertoire !

A great weekend, a great turnout (60+ boats) and great fun and entertainment.

Curiously, that perceptive little piece, mirrors my view of the present situation. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Is Legacy coming round with the Braybunch to see us next bank holiday ?
May well be joining Charles on the Limehouse - Chatham leg of this little jolly just to make sure he manages to turn left after leaving marina....
