Thames Turnout......?

Forum bash for Thames based boaters proposed for w/e September 11/12.
Last year we had the skittles evening at Windsor but the skittle alley is no longer available so Mike Gates of MDL has kindly offered to host this at Bray Marina and has tentatively agreed to lay on BBQ facilities. Details need to be ironed out dependant on attendance but this is first call for interest.
Please respond below and if sufficient interest will get Kim to plug in an event forum.

I think you are seeing the yellow funnel of the ship behind?

Hopefully will get some better examples on holiday starting this Friday (Yipeeeee!!)

Take a day off and visit the show during the week....much easier to get around without the weekend crowd....you know it makes sense!

Not a great photo eh? Didn't make you use it now did I? All those trips to Rochester over the years and you haven't got a better one?

Anyway, 'twas Ms DogsBody who took the photo (I was busy helming at the time) and she was given the camera mainly to keep her occupied as she doesn't take too well to being on the tidal stuff (used to flat calm on the river). Didn't look like you were on fire in the original but is a bit deceiving when shrunk like that. Perhaps next time you overtake us you could plan to do it in a more scenic place and I'll get Deb to try again?

PS Would like to attend the forum meet but think we are going to the boat show that weekend - would rather have gone midweek but Deb can't get the time off :-(

Forgot to mention that visitors would be able to get a free overnight at Bray on the Saturday night simply by signing up for the MDL cruising club (also free) and booking in advance of arrival.

Re clash with Southampton Boat Show this would also be the case the following weekend. However the weekend earlier - September 4/5 could be a possibility if more people would prefer.........views please?
