Hi,

Will post this on the Thames forum as well...but

Does anyone know what the rough time and distance is from St Kats to Gillingham is and any tips/ watch out fors?

Martin

Half an hour to the Barrier then how fast do you want to go? Keep out of the deep water channel, 8 knots near Shellhaven and don't hit Richard Montgomery or we'll read about you. Gillingham is in the 6 knot bit of the Medway. Monitor the right vhf channels.

It's been a while now, but about three to four hours, not flat out even outside spped limit zones.
Access to Gillingham lock is not at all states of tide so you need to plan for that.
If you have choice, Chatham is accessible 24 hours and is a nicer marina. You also have a lot more entertainment and shopping right on your doorstep.
