Thames Pontoons/Jetties

Most are jealously kept private by the owners or lessors. You can however try using the one at St Katherines. Just wait out of the way until you see them there and slide in between tripper boats.

If sufficiant water pick them up from inside of pontoon, less chance of getting in way of anything.
Have seen some quite large stuff moored round back overnight,so must be fair bit of water underneath.

I was at St Kaths last week - was dead easy to tie up on the inside of St Kaths Pier in my 33 - wouldn't expect any difficulty with a 44. And yes, plenty of water - I was there about 13.30 with a H/W due at 16.10 and there was something like 6m of water under there.

Inside is good - no trouble from anyone! And easy to get on and off with the pontoon open all the time for the tourist boats.
