i would like to see some of the thames pagent but don t want to go into the centre of london---quite happy to see the boats mustering before the main parade---any ideas on where to go and what time----thanks lenten

I believe they are mustering in the Pool, so Limehouse or St. Kats would be good. I think it will be hard to avoid central London (depends what you mean by "central") if you want to see much of it.

Oldgit - me too! West Chelsea Bridge pavment - the bridge is closed to traffic and the road used as a foot bridge with pavements gated off for the pass holders it seems

BBC are airing the Sunday breakfast show on Hammersmith Embankment where 200+ boats will be assembling using the 100 buoys placed between the Hammersmith bridge and Craven Cottage/ Barn Elms bend.

Looking forward to watching the muster on Saturday before the event on Sunday

Apparently tickets are being sold on Ebay for £150.00.However if you got your tickets "free" like me,you will need to produce some passort or similar proof to get onto the bridge.

They declined my application for the boat, offered us some complimentary tickets, my crew said they would go, but no tickets as yet...

Then they called and asked if we could go, by which time it was too late and we had booked a break in France.

I do rather wish they had been a bit more organised from the start.

The security stuff was done in March.

Tickets only came at the w/e and are name printed and request photo id on the day which id was provided in the March correspondence. No ackn of all this of course just want your bio.

Agree - tickets very late and i thought I had been 'dropped'.

No, the mustering will be done upriver. We are moving from West India Dock to our mustering point at Barn Elms early on Sat morning. The avenue of sail will be a static display at St Kats though.

thanks everyone---i am going to walk from hammersmith bridge to putney bridge on sunday----what time is everyone moving off---regards lenten

An old staniland was chosen for the pageant but he declined, he was then asked about a charter or similar for the cast of "loose women" I'd have been up for that! Would have been a real laugh. Not that i sit every lunchtime watching it.
