Was listening to this on Saturday about 15:10. Warnings not to go out, expected to last a week etc. Finally "there will be no patrol boats out because..." and an EA patrol boat slowly made it's way up past! Peter the lock keeper at Hambledon, plus two others, make a risk assessment of whether it was safe to patrol.
On Sunday at 15:10 there was a taped repeat of Saturday's message.
We had a steel tug, "Major", leave the Rally site on Friday making for Chertsey. Several other boats are reported as planning on going tomorrow, another has told me Wednesday, and a Bates 45' on Thursday or next Tuesday. Most of us are waiting to see how they get on.
