Thames Guide Book..?

Although i do rather like to meander and find my own way around, i was wondering if there is a decent definitive River Thames guide available to purchase.. Just be good to know where you can and cant moor up at night, places to eat, partake of ale etc...
I know its not very good to be overly planned, i have a 3 day jaunt coming up next weekend and a little light planning might be good.
Heading up stream from Bray for a day and a half starting next Friday morning and then returning for Sunday night... I have noticed that there is an event in Marlow on the 8th and 9th... does that restrict access for boaters to pass by?
Any info on good guides would be very gratefully received.

Chris Cove-Smith updates it every couple of years, so relevant, accurate(ish) and actually useful.

edit: I only say accurate(ish) as businesses change frequently, but this latest edition was compiled late last year, so probably very accurate at the moment...

+1 for this book and yes it should be accurate at the moment, the BMF and EA also produce a handy book- Cruising Guide to The River Thames and Connecting Waterways 2013-2014. You can pick this up for free from locks or marina offices.
