Marinecall - Saturday, W to N/E, moderate to fresh, no detail yet.
onlineweather - Thames Estuary, WNW, F6 to F8, possibly 9, rough
weatherweb - E Humber and E Thames, N, F4, mainly cloudy, rain or showers

On marinecall I'm content, on weatherweb I shall be peaceful, and on onlineweather I shan't be going near the boat!

Any views on these apparently divergent forecasts?

We had the same porblem last week, trying to plan a trip from Portsmouth to Falmouth - anything from 15 to 37 knots. What we ended up with was 19 to 28 knots - i.e. somewhere in the middle!! Perhaps that's the answer, take an average....

For Dover onlineweather is always several forces higher than the rest. Try weatheronline.co.uk instead.

The Met office used to do a Manston forecast which was always more accurate than their Dover one but it seems to have dropped off their site.

Thanks for all, abandoned Saturday in favour of Sunday. (..for the avoidance of doubt).
