Hi

Just been down to Tam Leisure at Thames Ditton Marina. I met the new Manager (Alex) there and what a very nice young chap he is. The shop has changed alot this year following their re-fit. Lots of new stock.

A chandlery worth using

Well done Alex

We were heading to St Kats the other week and noticed that the boats horns had packed up as we were heading down river. I decided to give TDM a bell to see if they had any of the gas horns, which they did, and as we were cruising with other boats and didn't want any undue delays the guy came down, had a quick shore to ship transfer and offf we went. Very good friendly service, and nice that he came down for the exchange of goodies for reddies to save us the hassle and del a of mooring up.

Back in the days of Noah, Thames Ditton Marina had a chandlery worthy of the name, at least 10 times bigger, and if they didn't stock it you'd probably never want it.

One of the chaps working there, or possibly managing, was an inspector for the Thames Conservancy. He could and did offer not only good technical advice but invaluable personal experience to back it up. Got me over many a problem some of which foxed others. I miss that chandlery no end!

Some things do NOT improve over time regretfully.

I have not yet tried Tam Leisure at TDM, but I have long been a customer of their shop in New Malden. They are very good for trailer stuff, lighting, gas fittings and pipes, barbecues and camping gear.

Those of you who were at ODCCs "Not the TVR" gathering will remember the barbecue my son was using.... That came from Tam Leisure.
