SWMBO is pressing me into a 'normal' family holiday (in Thailand, for the culcha) - anyone been on a package deal and been able to find sailing boats to hire on the beaches (cheap)? Will probablly be in Phuket area.

Many thanks

I was in Koh Samui earlier this summer, located off the east coast of Thailand. Along a 2 mile beach there are about 5 or 6 dinghy rental places. Most rent lasers, Hobbie and Nacra cats I even rented an 18ft trimaran.

Prices were about 12 pounds for an hour.

Jetskis about 14 pounds for 20 minutes.

Enjoy your holiday
regards
James

I,ve been to Phuket a couple of times recently to charter. Phuket has been ruined by cheap and nasty tourism. Do not expect culture there of the type found in Malaysia or coastal Thailand.
PM me if you haven't already booked.
