For many of you here, of course us young 'uns can ignore it.

Since more and more Seniors are texting and tweeting there appears to be a
need for a STC

STBOTL - TIABF : Shouldn't this be on The Lounge - This is a boating forum

NOPE! WRONG! It is a forum for people who use the Thames and other rivers with no specified subject matter. However if the panel feel I am guilty of misconduct then I shall cheerfully in the future refrain from discussing any matter other than those relating to boats. I trust others too will cease jocular texts and stick rigidly to your guidelines.

text .....isnt that the inky stuff on the pages of "Health and Efficiancy" ",or have I missed something ?

Ps.My copy of Parade seems to be a bit late ........

Ahem..... the Forum description as per ybw (and formulated originally by another forumite of increasingly senior years) states:

"A place to discuss boating issues specific to the Thames and other inland waterways"

YBW themselves promote the Lounge as a place where anything of a non-boaty nature should be contained.

I state the above purely for the purposes of absolute correctness rather than wishing to insist on strict adherence. I, myself, much appreciate the odd little gem of humour and divergence that appears here - I even tolerate Apollo's rants and No_Regrets wild outbursts of passionate piffle.

All communities have their eccentrics and this would be a sorry place without SOGFSSRR (sleepy old git from south stoke's regular ramblings).

We are all well able (and have proven it from time to time) to pass censure on those who try our patience beyond acceptability so let's try and keep it that way.

On a personal note, I would like Byron to know that I found this post amusing but somewhat too close for comfort :D

Whilst I rather enjoy the off-topic rambles and have no desire to see them banished I feel compelled to point out that there actually is a clearly specified subject matter - if you scroll to the head of this and every discussion on the forum it does say "The Thames Forum. A place to discuss boating issues specific to the Thames and other inland waterways"
