The refurbishment of Teston lock has taken a bit longer than expected due to the old lock being a bit more knackered than was previously thought.
Should be open towards end of April.

Not sure when they will be having a go at East Farleigh.The lower gates are a bit leaky at the cill and woe betide anybody not opening the upper sluices fully,cos you will be into long wait for the chamber to fill otherwise.

They were the reason we left Yalding, 275.00 river licence and only a small section of river to use, thanks but no thanks!
The locks were the one thing that at first seemed a novelty, then very quickly annoyed the hell out of me, most times we spent more time locking than we did travelling between the locks, especially upstream of Yalding.
