Hi folks, I've been having a few issues with **** in the fuel system of my Honda bf6b 6hp 2004 outboard which have manifested themselves as poor running under load, and have yanked the outboard out and stripped down the fuel system to clean it out. Having accomplished this I've run it up in a bin full of water -this is big enough to get cooling water for the motor but not big enough to get into gear and give it some load. Satisfied that the fuel system is now clean, I'd like to put the motor under load without leaving the marina, as I don't want a repeat episode of me floundering about with no drive... could I keep it tied off to the marina and engage reverse safely, or am I running the risk of damaging something else (cleats, marina, pride!)? Or any other suggestions? Thanks
