Tested: Outwell collapsible washing up bowl.

Doesn't your huge new boat come with a sink for that sort of thing? Thanks for pointing it out, I'll probably get myself one of these as the plastic one is always in the way :)

There's a sink, but it's not big enough to get the wok in.

My normal plastic bowl (99p) sits in the sink when not in use so is not in the way. If I had to fold it I would also have to find somewhere to store it. Utterly pointless for my needs.

Don't worry. I'm not suggesting they be made compulsory. :p

For those of us on small boats with no sink, or just a small sink, they are quite useful. When collapsed it would also make a useful tray.

I'll have you know that said wok was used twice this last weekend; once for that chicken, butter bean, creme fraish, chorizo dish, and then for fajitas the next day.

Why on earth would you want to cook those when surrounded by pasties? I guess it may come in handy for frying hogs pudding though if you don't eat it raw :)

Less than fifteen quid, and much better than anything I've seen in the rope shops. Robust, easy to dry, about an inch and a half thick folded. I never thought I'd be so delighted with a bowl.

Got to agree:encouragement:

I purchased one to take on a six week trip across Europe in our little camper van and it has been used constantly and has been fantastic.

We are really short on space and the bowl just tucks away perfectly when not in use

I've been known to use a wok to cook proper chips, though admittedly I might think twice about it on a boat.

Pete

If you feel the need for a dose of chips when miles from home, they are easy enough to shallow fry in a frying pan. You will need a spatula to turn them regularly but they look & taste fine.

It takes a few mm of oil in the pan & some will get absorbed in the chips, but there will still be some left after to deal with, I have put it in a small plastic bottle with a lid once cool so it can be sued again for a fry up, fried bread or whatever.
