I have recently (spring) fitted an I40 Bidata to my Hunter 232. It worked fine at the beginning of the season I've used this kit on a previous boat, and am fairly conversant with how it works. However, last time I was on board, the speed functions had stopped working. The temperature sensor (also part of the log transducer0 was working . I,'ve cleaned the transducer (twice) and the paddle wheel spins freely. As far as I can see all of the connections at the instrument end are OK.
The exam question therefore is: Is there a way of testing the connectivity of the log cables with the transducer (I obviously can remove it and send it back for testing - however, the cable runs are such that I would have to remove bits of the headlining. I'd rather exhaust all other options before taking the boat to pieces!
