Sounds like a good idea - top-up card for cheap(ish) calls from abroad....
DON'T GET ONE.
If you try to call home from, in my case, France and Belgium, go through the process of dialling the UK access number - 0208 etc - then your pin, well the system won't recognise you, and the answer will be "sorry, this pin no. is not recognised, please try again". Each time it costs 35p.
On complaining to the customer services - after several tries - I was left with a catch 22 situation - "foreign mobile networks will not recognise the UK pin system, so use the local access number".
Yeah - on dialling tha local - Paris/Brussels number, you get " this number is not recognised".
So, about £15 down on my mobile credit, and the customer services man offered to refund 30pence.
Great deal.:(:(

Every little helps...........

:)

.

Set myself up for that one....
Re UK code - not relevant - my (Tesco,yes...) mobile dials direct to UK numbers.I got the access number OK, then dialled my pin, as per instructions, but the reply kept coming "pin not recognised, please try again".
Which cost 35p for every unsuccessful try.
The instuctions gave French and Belgian access numbers, which when dialled were, "not available"
So what good is that? As I was on my boat, and away from landlines, the whole exercise was a complete waste of money.
