Tender Names

[Resolution]

Reading the depressing thread on values and falling exchange rates etc reminded me of the name of a junk in Hong Kong in the mid 1970s owned by a US bank. The junk was proudly named "The Floating Dollar", whilst the tender was named "The Sinking Pound".

Any other notable tender names out there?

SWSTBGOMAM and I spent our entire dirty weekend in Bath trying to name the new Walker Bay. I bought it as a tender to Feeling Rough, a Feeling 720. We felt a similiar pun was called for and worked through Bay B Walker and the like before settling on her genius solution: Feeling Tender.

Our boat is called 'Birvidik' (Breton for 'enthusiast'). Our friends have, with varying degrees of lesse majeste, referred to her as 'Bit of a Dick' and 'Pervydick''.

We call the tender 'Little Dick'.
