I have a Honda wave inflatable dinghy that I want to suspend from the transom davits on my boat.
The dinghy has 2 large locating eyes in the transom which I propose to use but not sure where to secure from the front of dinghy.
There are two large grab handles either side toward the front, would it be acceptable to secure using these or will it be necessary to run a strap around and underneath the dinghy.
The dinghy does NOT have an outboard attached.

Hi I had the same problem , I bought some glue on eyes from polly marine and the proper 2 part adhesive and stuck rings on and had wire made up with carabiner clips on the end , and I just used the eyes on the transom for the rear lift,I always kept the 5hp engine on as well ,but I had a strap that went under the front of boat with ratchet strap on to take the load after I had lifted it , I never bothered about the rear one , just make sure you follow the instructions on the glue or look on the net , and do them in warm pref in the house to achieve a good bond
