Is it me - Just got a Tempo Ultra 6 Gallon Fuel tank. I forgot
to order a tank - fuel line connector - the tank seller does not sell them - yes , my fault for not checking - anyway , on to the net we go - I only want a straight bard screw thread connector but all I can find is 1/4" - 3/8" Tempo connectors.
I have an old 1/4 inch connector from a Mercury connector and it's too small, I reckon the new Tempo Ultra 6 female thread is 1/2 " 13mm. The US www.tempoproducts.com site
sheds no light, I have sent them a email and mt origianl supplier. Has anyone else had a similar problem ??

''Certain" plastic 6 gall tanks used to weep copiously at all unions, fill point and threads (rough plastic finish to the threads and machined faces) ,I hope that has changed. Also did not like expanding and contracting in the sun
Yup...Just looked at a chandlery description..Try filling it,closing it and sloshing it around before going further with the project is my advice.

Send an email to info@robincurnow.co.uk and explain exactly what you want, and he should be able to fix you up. He sells the Tempo fuel tanks and connectors.

You will have to tell him what outboard it is for as there are many different connectors.

One thing you should do with the fittings, is to put a sealant on the threads before fitting, to stop any leakage. Not so much PTFE tape, more a fuel resistant sealer that will partially set.
