When: 7 October until further notice

Where: Temple Lock

What’s happening: A ram on the head gate has broken meaning the lock gate cannot be operated.

EA:
"A ram on the head gate has broken, meaning the lock gate cannot be operated until it is repaired. Therefore Temple lock is currently impassable.

It is our priority to make this complex repair as soon as we possibly can, however we have to ensure that our work is carried out safely. We are working as hard as we can to try to re-open the lock as quickly as we can."

Wow. I only got the closure notice at 19:51 last night. Makes you wonder why they bothered sending it if they were going to fix it that quick...

As an aside - I'm new to this forum and boating in general - after EA have sent out an email lock closure notice, do they then send out a "we've fixed it and it's open again" email? Ergo, how did you know it was repaired and/or how would I find out it had been fixed if I wasn't on this forum?
