I noticed the other week that the tell tale (Pilot Water Hole) is missing, so I don't get that satisfying and reassuring jet of water and have to lean over stern to check it.

I have searched the interweb high and low for the part number of the little plastic piece that sticks into the hole.

Any ideas?

Or does anyone have one they want to sell?

have you tried

The local A&E? Correct me if I am wrong but i am sure they are used to direct other jets in hospitals..

if you can,t get the exact 1 i,d try a car screenwash nozzle........only a thought.

Oh dear. The Pilot Water Hole is the description in the book. I was just quoting chapter and verse.

So, it's the bit that sticks in the hole that I need.

If Philiz still had his DF90 I'd go and nick his.

Mine fell off my little Evinrude a year or two ago, if it is a circular piece of plastic about the size of a one pence piece, with a tube atached, it pushes through the outer cowling and connects to the hose inside. I got mine from B&Q there are plastick packs of studs that are used to screw things into walls, they have a thread inside them! someone will know what they are called, but they have lots of different sizes, they work!

Parts lists at http://store.brownspoint.com/microfiche.asp but I cannot see what you are looking for.

Thanks, but I have already been through that.

Not on the Suzuki. All it is is a plastic peice that fits into the hole and turns the dribble into a water pistol spurt so that you can see it from the safety of the cockpit and don't have to climb onto the seat and to check.

It would be a pity to fall overboard when solo just because I want to check my tale tell.

I will telephone Dulas boats tomorrow and ask them, as they are quite good on Suzukis.

I won't bother with Dickies as the last time I asked them for spare part - a screw in flushing adaptor - I grew old waiting for them to respond and when I went in to chase them up, I couldn't find anyone who could look it up for me, let alone order one in and sell it to me.

That's close to my experience of them when the fuel tap snapped on my DT2 Suzy. I did get in time for the 3rd season, after I bought a Seagull "Featherweight" for about the same price as the replacement fuel tap.
