there is significant play in the wheel vs the outdrive at the other end
the teleflex is connected to the OD via a hydraulic piston, powered by the teleflex
replacing the cable is going to be way too much hassle
so thinking of replacing the safe T hub behind the dash
the internal cable obviously has to come out of the safe T and there is no play in the very tough cable surround
i can undo the nut connecting the cable surround at the piston end
will that allow me to slide the internal part out of the safe T and then replace the safe T ?
is the internal part going to slip right out ?
will i have problems getting the cable back into either end ?
hm, or thinking about all of this may the hydraulic piston at the stern have a connection for an autopilot ?
