Teleflex, I think a 700SS, gear lever on Westerly with Bukh DV20 stuck. Press red button in and throttle works ok. Release red button, which pops out, to go into drive. Cannot move lever forward or back despite spraying with silicone, maintenance oil, and soaking in Plus Gas. Removed all cable linkages at the back and tapped button from behind. Still wont move., Removed red plastic cap. Attempted to remove gear lever from shaft by undoing allen nut, levering, even applied heat from blowlamp ! Will not come off the shaft. I think the button is protruding sufficiently but something else jamming but cannot access or even fit a new unit until gear lever handle removed from shaft. Last resort hacksaw it off and fit new though probably no longer available ??

This is a Teleflex 700SS

This guy apparently had the same problem so it would be worth looking at the thread.

I'm looking for a schematic for the Teleflex MOrse, 700SS single lever dual action throttle/gear lever side mounted type often mounted in cockpits of yachts.
I need to take it apart to get it off the fibreglass to reseal it against there as it leaks, and a cockpit seat drain channel runs right onto it exaggerating the problem.

I can't find one on the Teleflex website, though thats not so easily navigable!

In particulat I want to find out how the handle is attached to the shaft. There's a grub screw underneath, but with that out mine's still tight. Might be siezed, but might be that I'm missing something.

Can't correct my error in title should read 700SS
