I came across this company while searching for "teak" cockpit. The made up panels are of yellow belau hardwood which is highly resistant to moisture etc. and caulked with polymer sealant. The panels are 5mm thick and there are 4 panel sizes and 2 edgings. Price of eg 550 x 295 mm is 19€. Has any forumite know about this company or had any dealings with them? They are located in Slovenia and offer free samples.

No experience, but quite interested so keen to hear from anybody who has used this. I quite fancy using this on the cabin sole.

I looked at the website, largest size is 1100mm x 295mm which would require a few panel joints in my large cockpit, but cost based on the largest panel works out at about €120 per square metre, which is much less than teak would cost. Last time I looked in a French chandlery was some time ago, but I remember seeing large panels of deck timber on sale in the chandlers at Ouistreham.

Get a free sample and put in water for a week or two to see what happens
